Public libraries have always leveled the playing field for kids and today they do it on multiple platforms. In Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, free library resources are at the fingertips of every CMS student and staff member through ONE Access, the district's partnership with the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library.
As we celebrate National Library Week April 8-12, take a fresh look at some of the resources ONE Access has to offer:
- 10 free tutoring sessions on Tutor.com
- Research platforms relevant to kindergarten through Advanced Placement classes
- Digital materials, such as e-books, e-audiobooks, magazines, music and videos
- Book checkout and services at all library branches
ONE Access is continually being updated and provides easy, reliable access to engaging and relevant material. With the proper tools, students can enhance their literacy skills and maximize learning in the classroom, at home and during spring and summer breaks.
You'll find ONE Access at www.cmlibrary.org. Students can log in with their CMS school identification number and can also use the CMS student portal. Staff members can log in with their 10-digit N.C. employee ID number (look for My UID under employee self-service). Download a quick-start flier here.
